CloudTMS is built by people who run trucks. The founder operates Porto Transportation — a real for-hire carrier that runs on CloudTMS every day.
Every feature exists because we needed it in our own back office first. Every price change, feature gate, and settlement rule survives contact with actual dispatch, actual driver pay, actual IFTA quarters.
Nothing off-the-shelf worked for a small carrier. The mid-market TMS options were priced for fleets ten times our size, took weeks to onboard, and asked us to retype every rate confirmation into their form. The small-carrier options were spreadsheets and group chats. We built the thing we wished existed.
A few examples of what “built by a carrier” means in practice. Settlements track escrow, advances, and per-pay-class deduction templates because filing 1099s at year-end taught us where the gaps hide. The rate-con parser reads broker PDFs from the same brokerages we book with — because it read our own inbox first. IFTA aggregates fuel purchases by locationState and miles by loaded lane, because the first 90-day audit after a new authority is a paper problem, not a driving problem. The compliance center warns before the medical card expires, not after — because we’ve had a driver stuck at a shipper waiting on a re-cert.
We’re a solo-founder operation today. Every support reply is written by the same person who wrote the code. Business hours, US Central time. If you email us, you get a real answer from someone who’s dispatched a load this week.
