Each component check runs live on page load — no cached statuses, no scheduled probes. The database check is a single-row SELECT with a 3-second timeout; the application check is the fact that the page rendered at all. There’s no third-party status-page dependency, and no incident history. If a component is degraded or down, the specific row above says which one.
