Add a Deduction for One Driver
Weekly, bi-weekly and monthly deductions repeat from the date you add them. They run on that cadence, not on the driver's pay cycle. Each one shows up under Deductions on the driver's next draft, and you can review or uncheck it there before approving. Deductions only accrue while the driver is active.
The Per load frequency does not add anything to settlements today. Use a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly frequency instead.
- Open the driver, go to the Pay & Settlements tab, and click Add on the Recurring Deductions card. (page:
/drivers/[id]?tab=pay) - Pick a Type (for example ELD Fee, Insurance, Escrow or Other), a Frequency, a Description and an Amount, then click Save. (page:
/drivers/[id]?tab=pay) - Use the pause icon to stop a deduction for now, or the trash icon to remove it. (page:
/drivers/[id]?tab=pay)
Share One Deduction Across Drivers with a Template
All Drivers and Driver Type assign the drivers who exist when you create the template. Drivers added later aren't assigned automatically, so add them with Add Drivers.
Choose Fixed Amount. Settlements currently deduct the number you enter as a dollar amount even when Percentage is selected, and Per Settlement does not add anything to settlements today.
Once a driver has a template assignment, their Recurring Deductions card shows their template deductions, and the older per-driver entries no longer apply to their settlements. The tab may show a notice that templates apply only after an engine update. Active template assignments are already used on settlements.
Editing a template's amount affects future settlements only, and per-driver override amounts stay as they are. Archive template stops the deduction for every assigned driver from their next settlement.
- Open Settlements → Configuration → Deduction Templates and click Add Template. (page: /settlements?tab=configuration)
- Enter a Name and optional Code, choose the Amount Type, the amount, and the Frequency (Weekly or Monthly). (page: /settlements?tab=configuration)
- Under Applies To, choose All Drivers, Driver Type or Specific Drivers. Optionally set Total Installments to stop after a set number of charges. Click Create Template. (page: /settlements?tab=configuration)
- Click the number in Active Assignments to see who uses the template, use Add Drivers to add more (with an optional per-driver override amount), or remove a driver. (page: /settlements?tab=configuration)
Fuel and Toll Deductions
On Configuration → Pay Classes, under Per-driver deductions, a Super Admin or Company Admin can turn on Deduct fuel from driver settlements and Deduct tolls from driver settlements, then click Save.
When these are on, a fuel or toll transaction matched to a load becomes a deduction for that load's primary driver, ready for review in the workspace. Drivers who belong to a fleet owner are not charged this way.
